At Snodgrass Veterinary Medical Center, we have experienced pet groomers on staff who are qualified to groom both cats and dogs. Our pet groomers have experience grooming cats and dogs of all breeds and sizes.
All pets coming in for grooming must have had an exam by a veterinarian within the last year. All dogs are required to be current on their Bordetella vaccine. Both cats and dogs must have their rabies and distemper vaccines up to date as well. All cats must have had their annual leukemia test. It is essential that your pet is free of external and internal parasites.
These precautions are taken in order to protect your cat or dog as well as other pets coming in for grooming at our veterinary center. If your pet receives veterinary services from another clinic, it is your responsibility to bring proof that your pet is up to date. Your veterinary office can often print out a formal document giving us all of the information we need. We cannot accept any pets that come in without this documentation.
Here are a few things you should know:
We are a full-service veterinary medical center, which means that there will always be a veterinarian on hand in the event that your dog or cat needs medical attention.
If your pet is overly aggressive or anxious we may recommend that your pet is sedated by one of our veterinarians (with your permission) in order to be groomed.
Our groomers spend a considerable amount of time with your pet, which is why they often are the ones who will initially identify lumps, skin problems, or other conditions on your pet that may need veterinary attention.
Flea baths, medicated baths, and skunk baths are available upon request.
Our groomers will trim your pet’s nails as a part of our grooming services.
Prices for grooming services is available upon request.
